Tenuta Casenuove is at the forefront
of the Chianti Classico renaissance.
Proven vocation and perfect location meet on a charmed
Panzano in Chianti estate that is rooted in ancient soil yet
brimming with new energy.
Tenute Casenuove is a historic wine estate within the comune of Panzano in Chianti at the heart of the Chianti Classico zone, covering 120 hectares of rolling hills. Vines, woodland and olive groves coexist here in a proudly rural swathe of Tuscany celebrated for its biodiversity. Acquired in 2015 by entrepreneur, art collector and wine lover Philippe Austruy, the owner of prestigious wineries in France and Portugal, it is guided by a dynamic young team of local talents who have brought renewed lustre to the wines of an estate whose soil, elevation and aspect compete and conspire in a drive for excellence.
What is in the glass is engendered and nurtured by the land
and those who cultivate it. A visit and wine tasting at Tenuta
Casenuove brings unique insights into the terroir, the care and
the craft behind our range of wines.
The Tuscan landscape around Panzano in Chianti is in equal measure a triumph of nature and a work of art. Collector Philippe Austruy has long been a champion of the intimate, mysterious connection between the creative act and its physical location. It was his belief in the artistic vocation of this place of growth, curation and harvest that led him to collaborate with leading Tuscan art incubator Galleria Continua on the Radici dell’Arte project, which brings groundbreaking global artists not only to the estate but also to the Il Vino dell’Arte space in the centre of Panzano.
In the years since the estate was acquired and revitalized by
Philippe Austury, the wines of Tenuta Casenuove have
garnered a series of international plaudits and awards.
